  • Junior Office Assistant: Any Graduate (as per prisons notification).
  • Assistant Inspector of Fisheries: Graduate or Diploma in Fisheries (as per notification).
  • Others: Relevant graduate/postgraduate qualifications as prescribed.

Age limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years (generally as on July 1, 2025).
  • Maximum Age: 42 years for most posts. Thanedar specifically has max 30 years.
  • Relaxation: As per APPSC rules – typically SC/ST: +5 years, BC: +3 years (e.g. SC–5, OBC–3)

  • SC/ST/BC/PwD/EX: ₹250 (processing) only; exam fee (₹80/₹120) is waived.

  • Qualifying Papers: Some posts have qualifying papers (e.g. Horticulture Officer Paper-II is a Qualifying English/Telugu test, Thanedar & FBO have a qualifying essay).
  • Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): For Junior Office Assistant, candidates who clear the written exam must pass a mandatory CPT (typewriting/data entry).
  • Interview/Skill Test: Generally no personal interview for these posts (selection is purely exam-based, except CPT where noted).
  • Final Merit: Based on written exam scores (and CPT for JOA).
