Written Examination (The First Stage)

The process begins with an offline, Objective Type Written Test conducted using Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets.

• Scoring and Duration: The test is for a total of 150 marks , has a duration of two hours , and includes a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer.
• Medium: The question paper is provided in both English and Hindi (bilingual).

• Physical Measurements: Requirements include a minimum height of 165 cms (with a 2.5 cms concession for Scheduled Tribes) , an un-expanded chest of 81.5 cms , and a minimum weight of 50 Kg.
• Fitness/Endurance Test: Candidates must complete tasks such as carrying a man (Fireman lift) of 63.5 Kgs over 183 meters within 96 seconds , clearing a 2.7 meter wide ditch , and climbing a 3 meter vertical rope using hands and feet.

Final Selection and Document Verification

• Document Verification: Provisionally selected candidates must report for document verification, where they are required to produce the original and a photocopy of all supporting documents and certificates.
• Final Decision: The final decision regarding selection or rejection rests with the appointing authority. There is no provision for the re-evaluation or re-checking of scores.
