Special Benefits and Conditions

• Training Stipend (KKRTC & NWKRTC): Selected candidates for Assistant Accountant, Conductor (KKRTC), and Assistant Traffic Inspector (NWKRTC) will be placed on ‘on-the-job training’ for a period of one year. During this training period, a fixed monthly stipend of ₹14,000/- will be provided. They will become eligible for the full pay scale only after successfully completing the probationary service/training period.

Selection Process Of KEA Direct Recruitment Notification 2025

The selection process for the KEA Competitive Exam 2025 is primarily based on two methods, depending on the post: Merit in the Competitive Exam or a Composite Score combining exam and academic marks.

General Selection Process (Most Posts)

For most posts (all departments except the Transport Corporations), selection is based solely on merit in the competitive examination, provided the candidate meets the minimum qualifying marks and passes the mandatory Kannada Language Test (if required).

• • Mandatory Qualifying Test: Candidates who did not study Kannada as a first or second language at the SSLC (10th standard) level must appear for the Mandatory Kannada Language Test (150 Marks, OMR Type). A minimum score of 50 marks is required to qualify. The marks from this test are not considered for final ranking.
  • Competitive Exam Qualification: Candidates must score a minimum of 35% of the total marks in the Competitive Exam (Paper-1 and Paper-2 combined) to be eligible for selection.
  • Final Merit: Candidates who meet the qualifying criteria will be selected based on their total score in the Competitive Exam (Paper-1 + Paper-2) and according to the reservation roster.

Selection Process for Transport Corporation Posts

For the following posts in the Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC) and North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC), a composite score is used:

• Assistant Traffic Inspector (NWKRTC)
• Conductor (Nirvahaka) (KKRTC)
• Assistant Accountant (KKRTC)
• Composite Score Calculation: The final selection is based on the aggregate of two components:
  1. 75% weightage: Marks secured in the OMR-based General Ability Test (Competitive Exam).
  2. 25% weightage: Marks secured in the minimum prescribed educational qualification for the post.
• Minimum Qualifying Mark: Candidates must score a minimum of 30% of the total marks in the Competitive Exam to be eligible for selection.
• Kannada Language Knowledge: Candidates applying for these posts do not need to attend the KEA Mandatory Kannada Language Test. However, they must have studied Kannada as a first or second language at the SSLC level or pass a Kannada Language Test conducted by the respective Corporation to be eligible for recruitment.

Final Stage (Document Verification)

Candidates who are shortlisted based on their merit/composite score and reservation policy will be called in a ratio determined by the selecting authority for:
