1. Height and Weight Standards

  • Regional Relaxations: Candidates from North East India, Gorkhas, Garhwalis, and similar hilly regions receive a 5 cm height relaxation. Candidates from Lakshadweep receive a 2 cm relaxation.
2. Visual Standards
Vision must be correctable to military specifications: 
  • Men: Distance vision (corrected) must be 6/6 in the better eye and 6/18 in the worse eye. Myopia/Hypermetropia limits are ±3.50D, including Astigmatism.
  • Women: Distance vision (corrected) must be 6/6 in the better eye and 6/18 in the worse eye. Myopia limit is -5.5D, including Astigmatism.
  • Colour Vision: Minimum standard of CP-III (ability to recognise red and green).
